A
Automatic Creation A blend-building mode in Hydrogene Pro that uses an optimization algorithm to calculate the ideal combination of available raw salts to match the nutrient profile of a selected commercial fertilizer reference. Found in the Blends section.
B
Blend A custom nutrient solution recipe created in Hydrogene Pro by combining one or more solid fertilizers or raw salts. Blends are stored in the Blends Library and can be assigned as parts in Feed Charts. Blends can be created via Automatic Creation or Manual Creation.
Blends Library The saved collection of all blends created by the user. Accessible from the Blends section in the left navigation menu.
Built-in Content that comes pre-loaded in Hydrogene Pro, such as the default fertilizer profiles and commercial feed charts. Built-in items are read-only and cannot be edited or deleted.
C
Calculation Parameters A configuration step in Automatic Blend Creation where the user selects which nutrients should be optimized by the algorithm. Limiting the selection to relevant nutrients improves the quality of the result.
Cancelled (tag) A red status tag applied to a measurement or event card when it has been marked as cancelled by the user.
Concluded (tag) A green status tag applied to a measurement or event card when it has been marked as completed by the user.
Concentrate Solution A Feed Chart mode in which fertilizers are pre-dissolved into a concentrated stock solution, which is then dosed into the reservoir at the specified rate. One of the two available modes when creating a custom Feed Chart.
Cultivation Cycle An active grow tracked in Hydrogene Pro from start to harvest. Each cycle is linked to a Feed Chart and contains tabs for Overview, Measures, Dashboard, Plan, Health, and Events.
Cultivation Day A counter that starts at 1 when Start Cycle is clicked. All measurements, events, and health records within a cycle are indexed to cultivation days rather than calendar dates, ensuring consistency regardless of when the cycle was started.
Custom (tag/filter) A label applied to fertilizers, blends, or feed charts created by the user. Custom items are fully editable and can be deleted.
D
Dashboard (Cultivation Cycle tab) A visual analytics tab within each Cultivation Cycle that displays charts for nutrient levels (ppm), EC, pH, temperature, and humidity progression. The Dashboard plots measured values against ideal target ranges defined in the linked Feed Chart.
Day Observed A read-only field in the Health tab that automatically records the cultivation day on which a health issue was created. It cannot be manually edited.
Direct Mixing A Feed Chart mode in which solid fertilizer salts are weighed and added directly to the reservoir rather than being pre-dissolved into a stock solution. One of the two available modes when creating a custom Feed Chart.
E
EC (Electrical Conductivity) A measurement of the total dissolved ion concentration in a nutrient solution, expressed in mS/cm. Used as a practical indicator of overall nutrient solution strength. EC targets are defined per week in the Feed Chart and tracked in the Dashboard.
Events (Cultivation Cycle tab) A tab within each Cultivation Cycle for planning and logging cultivation activities such as irrigation, transplanting, fertilizer applications, and pruning. Events can be planned in advance or recorded retroactively.

Feed Chart A structured, week-by-week feeding schedule that defines which fertilizer parts are applied each week, at what dosage, and within what EC and pH target ranges. Feed Charts are linked to Cultivation Cycles.
Feed Chart Library The collection of all available feed charts in Hydrogene Pro, including built-in commercial charts and user-created custom charts. Accessible from the Feed Charts section.
Fertilizer Library The central repository for all fertilizer profiles in Hydrogene Pro, including built-in commercial products, raw salts, and user-added custom fertilizers. Used as the source for parts in Feed Charts and ingredients in Blends.
Fine Tuning A step in the Automatic Blend Creation workflow that allows users to manually adjust the calculated gram amounts for each salt. Used to simplify weighing by rounding values to a precision appropriate for the available scale.

Growing Medium The material in which plant roots grow — such as soil, coco coir, rockwool, perlite, or expanded clay. Selected during Cultivation Cycle setup.
Growing Setup The first step when creating a Cultivation Cycle. Requires information including Crop Type, Growing Medium, Tank Volume, System Type, Number of Plants, and Substrate Volume.
H
Health (Cultivation Cycle tab) A tab within each Cultivation Cycle for logging plant health issues. Issues are tagged, indexed to a cultivation day, and can be concluded with an outcome when resolved. Health records are used as reference data for Plant Diagnostics.
I
Input (Feed Chart step) Step 2 in the Feed Chart creation workflow. In this step, users add the fertilizer parts (from the Fertilizer Library or Blends Library) that will make up the feeding schedule.
M
Manual Creation A blend-building mode in Hydrogene Pro where the user selects fertilizers from the library and manually assigns their quantities, rather than using the optimization algorithm. Best used when a recipe already exists.
Measures (Cultivation Cycle tab) A tab within each Cultivation Cycle for logging cultivation measurements such as EC, pH, temperature, humidity, and nutrient ppm. Measurement records populate the Dashboard charts.
Mode (Feed Chart step) Step 1 in the Feed Chart creation workflow. Determines how fertilizers will be delivered: Concentrate Solution (pre-dissolved stock) or Direct Mixing (salts added directly to the reservoir).

Overview (Cultivation Cycle tab) The default tab of a Cultivation Cycle. Displays the cycle’s projected start, end, and duration, along with the growing setup summary. Contains the Start Cycle button.
P
Part A fertilizer or blend assigned a label (Part A, Part B, etc.) within a Feed Chart. Parts define which products are applied in each week of the feeding schedule and at what dosage.
pH A measure of the acidity or alkalinity of a solution, on a scale of 0–14. pH directly affects nutrient availability to plant roots. pH targets are defined per week in the Feed Chart and tracked in the Dashboard.
Plan (Cultivation Cycle tab) A tab within each Cultivation Cycle that displays a preview of the cultivation schedule as weekly cards. Each card shows the growth stage, dates, and dosage information for that week.
Planned (tag) A blue status tag applied to a measurement or event card when it has been created but not yet executed or concluded.
Plant Diagnosis A feature in Hydrogene Pro that uses health records and symptom tags to suggest potential causes and solutions for observed plant problems. Diagnosis quality improves as more health records are concluded with outcomes.
ppm (Parts Per Million) A unit expressing the concentration of a specific nutrient in a solution (mg/L). Used to specify nutrient targets in Feed Charts and to track individual element levels in the Dashboard.
R
Record Event / Record Measurement An option for logging an event or measurement that has already occurred, entering it retroactively into the cycle record.
Reference Fertilizer The commercial fertilizer selected in step 1 of Automatic Blend Creation, whose nutrient profile the algorithm will try to replicate using the available raw salts.
Results (Blend step) Step 3 in the Automatic Creation workflow. Displays the calculated quantities of each salt and a comparison with the reference fertilizer’s nutrient profile.
Retry A button in the Blend Automatic Creation Results step that re-runs the optimization algorithm with the same salt selection, potentially yielding a different or improved result.
S
Schedule (Feed Chart step) Step 3 in the Feed Chart creation workflow. In this step, users define stage names, weekly dosages for each part, and target EC and pH ranges for each cultivation week.
Start Cycle A button in the Overview tab of a Cultivation Cycle that activates the cycle and begins the cultivation day counter. Should be clicked at the exact moment the physical grow begins.
Substrate Volume The volume of growing medium per plant in liters. Entered during Cultivation Cycle setup. Affects irrigation frequency recommendations and rootzone monitoring.
System Type The type of irrigation or nutrient delivery system used in the grow (e.g., drip, NFT, flood and drain). Entered during Cultivation Cycle setup.
T
Tank Volume The total volume of the nutrient reservoir in liters. Entered during Cultivation Cycle setup. Used to calculate how much of each blend part to prepare per feeding.

View All Cycles A button on the Home page that opens the full Cultivation Cycles section, showing both active and concluded cycles.
W
What to Do Next A panel on the Home page that highlights overdue tasks and events from active cycles that require immediate attention.
